By using Checked in Korea, you agree to these terms.

What the service provides

The service organizes public and third-party information about places, events, travel conditions, and practical checks in Korea. Labels such as verified, collecting, or unknown describe the evidence available to us; they are not guarantees.

Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate feedback, keep your account secure, obey applicable law, and avoid automated abuse, interference, scraping that degrades the service, or attempts to access another user’s data. Do not post spam, harassment, personal information, unlawful material, or travel claims you know are false. We may restrict accounts or requests that threaten the service or other users.

Community content

Place questions, answers, field reports, tips, and corrections are public under a pseudonymous alias. They are traveler contributions, not official facts or endorsements. You retain responsibility for content you post and give us permission to display and operate it as part of the service. We may hide reported content for review or remove access to content that violates these terms. Helpful and not-helpful votes apply only to a contribution; they do not rank a place or change official information.

Upload only photos you took or have permission to share publicly. Avoid identifiable people without their permission, private documents and sensitive personal details. You keep ownership and permit us to resize and display approved submissions on this service. Traveller photos are personal contributions, not current-condition guarantees. Submissions wait for operator review, and you can remove your own photos from their place page.

Travel decisions

Schedules, prices, availability, weather, traffic, accessibility, and entry rules can change without notice. Confirm time-sensitive details with the official operator before traveling, purchasing, or relying on them. You remain responsible for your decisions and safety.

Third-party services and content

Maps, authentication, source links, images, and public datasets may come from third parties. Their terms and policies apply to their services. We do not control their availability or accuracy.

Availability and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties to the extent permitted by law. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service or reliance on third-party information.
